Seasons in Life
I was pondering on my life today, which I do often, and was again struck with amazement in each beautiful season that God has led me through. Each chapter of my life has been a challenge, a blessing, and a HUGE learning experience! I approach new opportunities full of presuppositions and thinking that I have everything "figured out" but, God continually shows me that I can't have my life all neatly arranged the way I THINK it will work. Thankfully, God is patient with me and loves me. He shows me everyday that He cannot be contained to this world. He reaches down into my very soul and works wonders. He is grieved when I fail, but He's ready to use that failure to make me into something better and more useful for His kingdom. The important thing to note is that in each season, God is continually challenging me to excellence. I look forward to this summer and this fall as I embark upon new and exciting experiences. Pray for me, pray for my continued growth and that I may be an evangelist for Christ continually!

It's so funny that you mention "seasons". As I prepare to leave Japan (which is very sad, by the way since you aren't in Ohio anymore) one my Christian mentors was reminding me of this season in my life and to think of my life in those terms. It really brought me perspective and some peace as well.
Also, thanks for putting up some recent pics of you! You're so beautiful, Rachel! Seriously. :) I hope you're enjoying this spring season. I'm sorry that we might miss each other this summer by a few weeks, but at least I'll be in Ohio when you come home for breaks and we'll get to see each other more than once a year... :)
